How Crowd Coach Works

Step One: Initial Relationship The process begins with an initial discussion between each participant and the facilitator to explain the Crowd Coach model, address any concerns, and discuss work challenges, practices, and development needs that may be private or confidential. The primary goal is for each participant to align with the structure and process and be open with the other participants. A kick-off meeting is held to help participants build relationships, understand their collective strengths, challenges, and development needs, and agree on how the crowd will best function.

Step Two: Ongoing Crowd Coach Gatherings Each group agrees on a specific duration of engagement and frequency of meetings. In every session, guided by the facilitator, a participant presents a real workplace issue or challenge relevant to the goals of the crowd. The group learns to mutually coach and support each other, generating a range of alternatives and actions to consider.

Step Three: On-the-Job Development Since the group discusses a variety of best practice solutions, participants are expected to implement agreed-upon actions and report on their progress.
